Building Tradespeople took pride in the construction of the Smith Center. We were especially happy that it was built by a company that took pride in its constructors and showed that by making sure that workers had healthcare and pension benefits as well as a living wage for their families. We call this Community Vitality. When a company cares about the welfare of those that help to build it, it’s a beautiful thing. We hope to see more of this downtown.

I recently discovered Ammy and her Burses at the Farmers Market in Henderson. I bought my favortite book, “The Stand” in Burse form. Took it to book club and everyone absolutely loved t! I get more comments on that bag. People are fascinated. Great gift idea for book lovers or anyone who can appreciate fabulous art in the form of a purse. Perfect!

Love the Neon Museum, but the author should have contacted someone at UNLV, particularly someone at the Barrick Museum, about the display of the LVAM collection and the “new” Barrick to open late-Spring.

Great article Kim. It really is impressive how so many people have come together to form what is now known as #VegasTech. We can all feel that big things are in store for the scene, downtown and Vegas in general. Awesome to see it all coming together!
